About this class

In an effort to remain relevant, traditional print media have embraced the Internet as a means of delivery for their content. New Internet technologies make for a far more interactive experience of news stories and data sets. In this course we will study the basics of digital audio, video, and image production and editing and examine ways to combine these individual channels into media-rich packages in the form of interactive news graphics, data visualizations, and mashups. We will also explore new data aggregation technologies and learn to engage online audiences through visual storytelling techniques.
